Hi Guys,
I recently replaced my factory stereo for a Pioneer CD player. (By the way, very handy tips on taking out the factory stereo- very easy!)
Anyway, the CD player works fine apart from when I switch my engine off as I lose all the presets which I've spent ages storing!
Have I wired something up wrong- like the permanent feed?
I just used the block of connectors/adaptors that came with the new stereo- do i need to buy some different adaptors?
Any help would be grand, thanks.
Dan

if you have an iso connector into the back of your headunit, all you need to do is swap the two blocks around(that came out of the old head unit. think there black and white) into the iso connector. it should keep its memory now

You need to swap the perm live and ignition live wires around, usually the yellow and red wires.

well, ive just spent the last hour trying to prize the perm feed and ignition feed connectors from the block with no success! (are they welded in there or what??)
&
in the process i've blown a fuse- so no longer does my stereo not work at all, now my central locking is knackered too!

I really must be dangerous!

Any more tips for me?- like how to get the wires out, or maybe to go and see someone who knows about auto electrics....cos i clearly dont!
