AUDIO PROB

I have just bought my bravo and it has a quality pair of 6x9's on a stealth shelf at the rear and a decent head unit but when i turn the sound up it goes mostly to the tweeters at the front by the windscreen. Which means i can only turn the music up so high then it goes crap. Ive tried every setting on the head unit and it still wont change and im slowly but surely going nuts. cheers anyone who can help. Can you tell us what makes the head unit and speakers are?

Sounds like the head unit is having trouble driving the speakers and is cutting the bass (where most of the power is).

Its a sony head unit and ive got a sony cd changer

Silly Question but did the previous owner leave the amp in and connected or are they wired into the standard connectors????

What power is the headunit? 4x??watts
It proberbly won't have many watts and so is struggling to power the 6x9s. Have you any idea what power they are?

It should be 4x40 or 4x45 as per usual. Its always possible the speakers have been wired badly and the amps are trying to drive too small an impedance.

No head unit can drive less than 4ohms.
