Nigel,

So whats the latest news on your HGT , have the
managed to get any parts etc. for it and what are
the insurance company upto ?

No Car

Car still at repair centre - cant get the parts, although thanks to people here we have tried many avenues.

There doesn't seem to be any expected date for the parts either so I am stuck driving around in the Jag at the companies expense....lifes hard the wife though.....she has been relegated to the Fiest courtesy car as I refuse to drive it and as she was riving the HGT at the time of the accident....its her punishment.

have u tried www.bodybits.co.uk based in brum they might have the parts u require, they might not b genuine but i think theyer as good.

Genuine Parts

Its up to the insurance company and the repairer but I think they need to be genuine parts and to be honest although there is probably not much difference, so would I.

I spent the day at Jaguar on Saturday on a technical seminar where they explained why cars rust and why they are dangerous after accidents. It was quite scary really especially the comparion examples where even simple things like the wrong pliable rating sealant used on even a genuine wing causes rust in a place where it doesn't if the correct part is used.
