Technical asr/cruise control

Why would my asr keep failing while driving and now my cruise control wont work? Anybody got any ideas?

Also got a sercurity failure when start the car somebody told me there is a sensor around windescreen anybody know anything about that aswell

had a simular thing in my bravo and was the brake light switch loose. might be worth a quick look

the brake switch is right above the brake pedal and can be removed by twisting it around 90 degrees.
I has a contact which closes and another one which opens at the same time when you use the brake pedal.
It can be adjusted by pressing the pedal a bit, pulling outward the plastic pin of the switch and release the pedal without pushing it upward against the switch - this way the travel of the switch is adjusted automatically.
Once you lift the pedal against the switch with your foot the adjustment of the switch can be disturbed and has to be repeated.
