Seems fitting, as the torch is in Aberdeen tonight.

Personally seems a bit over rated, all this pish with running with fire. Dreading the morning commute tomorrow as the torch heads through our biggest bottlenecks at rush hour. But then, to some, the games are a symbol of hope...or something?

So yes - Olympics - do you give a flying....

I'm all behind having pride in your country and waving the flag, etc but straight after the massive cost of the jubilee (another huge waste of money we don't have), this is happening. I do hope the UK does well but I for one probably won't be watching any of it, not least for the fact I still don't get much of a TV signal in the flat. Can only imagine how much my iPlayer range of programming will be affected over the next few weeks...

Don't give a toss and won't be watching it - unsurprising really as I can't

Oh yeah, and off to the smile thread cos I'll be missing the traffic tomorrow ;)

yeah and have you seen what pish danny boyle doing for the opening ffs (am also expecting matrix signs warning me about heavy traffic in london ffs)

Couldnt be ****ed with the Olympics, it would be good if it was actually for everyone, but its just for the fat cats and toffs to charge fortunes for tickets they got for next to nothing then selling for a fortune to 'friends and family members'. Also an excuse for this **** poor skint country to throw even more money away on yet another event we cant afford.
