they seem so cheap and look ok, i just wondered if they were cheapy crappy things

Yeah the BSA stuff is very cheap.
I can't really comment on the quality, i've never heard any bad reports.

I have them (17 inch) on my bravo jtd for 6 months now and dont'have any problems yet. Maybe later?!?!?
