are all head units same size?

hi im want to get a lush new alpine head unit to replace my standard sony one that come with the sei, but before i fork out alot of money i want to know will it be able to replace the sony and be the same size to fit into the dash? cheers aaron

well there almost all the same size.
if your looking at 'normal' head units then yes there a standard din size.

however be careful of ones with screens/faceplates that flip up the way as on some cars they can foul the dash. eg ones with colour screens that fold out wouldnt fit the cinq due to the dash overhang
