Hi this is a question that has probley been asked a long time ago but i could find no exact reference to it when i searched the site .
I have 2 pandas one is a 1989 1000 and the other is a 1990 750 both have fire engines installed , are all F.I.R.E engines non [SIZE=-1]interference engines ( if the cambelt snaps it will not damage the top end) or does it depend on the age and cc ???

can anyone help? thanx.

As far as I'm aware the only FIRE engine which is interference is the 1.2 16v as found on Puntos.

dam i just bought that engine ! oww

i have just yesterday done a cambelt change so should be right !

but as others have said
the 999. and 750 and 1108 engine are all good for a snapping
(just the belt that is )

aran.

Many thanx for that, as the cars mileage is still low(ish) and going by the paint on the timing marks it looks like it been done once at least and the belt still looks in good health so i will leave it for now.
thanx again.
