Unfortunately I have purchased 2 cars from there in the last 12 month and have had nothing but issues on the second ( although it has just now managed 2000 miles trouble free) not saying the dealer is at fault for the issues on the car but it its how they have dealt with the problems and what I have subsequently discovered!!

Basically 1 month after purchase car had gearbox / clutch issues which took 6 weeks for them to sort out and I ended up paying for repair as they claimed fiat would not honour under warranty, Just found out from another dealer that Arburys had in fact claimed under warranty from Fiat!! erm isnt that possibly fraud??

Oh and to add to it prior to the mechanical issues they also lied when i purchased, specificall asked were it had come from and they stated direct from Fiat, When V5 arrived it was an avis rental car which they also admitted majority ( at the time all off!!) there used approved Fiats and Peugeots were ex rental or coutesy!! and this is the best bit they didnt feel they had to tell buyers that the cars were ex rentals!!

Arburys lost 4 repeat buyers who were due to replace this year and 3 had used arburys and there predecessor in walsall goodfellows for 30plus years and wont be going back, plus obviously all there servicing and my serving for my 2 cars, so there lack of ability to deal with an issue and now as it turns out trying to get the money twice has lost them a fair chunk of money, as they say a good reputation takes time to build but can be destroyed easily and these muppets have done just that ( found out the Rental bit about them ended up in the national press late last year and the maintained then that it wasnt an issue to withold the truth about a cars history what next for them selling accident damaged repairs!!)

Hi, I would hate for anyone to read this message and be put off. I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with this dealer. Infact they are the best around. Friendly and helpfull. Sometimes I think people read something in the press and like to jump on the bandwagon (and feel a bit of a victim). Anyway to set the record straight when used cars are purchased from Fiat remarketing (which is fiat direct) where most Fiat dealers buy there used cars from, they can sometimes be Avis cars they can sometimes be fleet cars and sometimes part exchanges. But mainly the first 2. But they are purchased from FIAT DIRECT!! As all dealers buy cars from here and there is no way to tell where the car has come from before buying it i think your issue may be with Fiat not Arbury! The reason they are so competativly priced is that reason exactly. So if you want to pay £1000 more feel free. Also all thease issues people have with ex rental cars is madness, they are used by people over the age of 21, usualy for about 500 miles then checked in, fully valeted and waxed, and checked out again any damage is repaired and they are looked after better than other cars. People always look after rentals as they don't want to be charged for any repairs. You sound like you have a rather large chip on your shoulder! I would advise you CHILL OUT!!!

I bought my GP from another garage and it was an ex rental for the garage itself and had low mileage too.

I have got to say it is best looked after car I have come across but there was a few marks from where the signs to advertise the garage were removed but nothing a clay couldn't sort.

Only needed the steering rack check doing which turned out to be all clear and a new wiring harness on the horn fitting.
The car is now nearly three years old so its a big thumbs up as it has never let me down (y)

Havent Read on here for a while but just picked on this!!

Quite strange how the reply came from a user who has posted once only on the whole forum and only to reply to this!!

MMM maybe an employee of Arburys and not really a customer as they do know a little to much to be a normal car buyer!!!

and main point of this post was these idiots HAD claimed of Fiat AND charged me for the same repair!!

So can anyone really defend Arbury for that action!!

If that is true, then why have you not been in contact with Fiat, assuming that you have not contacted them.If indeed Fiat have paid them for the repairs then I am sure they would claim it back from the garage and forward it onto you.

Yes Fiat have been contacted, are they dealing with it ?? still waiting for a response from Fiat CS!! and to be truthful I am not the bothered now, just written off the money .

Are Fiat really bothered??

Well car is now out of warranty so they can wash there hands of it!!

On the upside in 5 months almost 10k on the Sedici and no real other issues

And believe me this whole episode is very very true !! (if it wasnt then Arburys could easily get this whole thread deleted) and as the dealer system shows what they claimed for and what they charged for then???

AND reason for bringing this back up may have been blindingly clear in user Kittys post :)
