Hello everyone. I have an Arabic version radio unit. There is no carplay support in this version. That's why I decided to investigate how it differs from other radio units.Since I do not have the other unit, I do not know if there is a difference in terms of hardware.
But when I examined the software, I noticed that a section in the software checks the hardware number. The name of this software section is “Vp2_PD”.(ProjectionDevice).
If the hardware number is suitable, it loads this section.
If the hardware number is not suitable, the section named “Vp2_NoPD” is loaded.
I compared the hardware number of my Arabic version radio unit with this section in the software and saw that it was not loaded.
This may actually be due to a missing part inside the radio unit.
But as seen in the picture, the Arabic radio unit supports MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport).
I'll do some more research on this and then change the software and see what happens.
Has anyone done research on this subject before? Have you physically compared the Arabic radio unit with other units? I apologize for my bad English. I use Google Translate.
