anyone who wants to be car tech thesedays is :nutter:

With you there!

Done some servicing on my car last week, first time under the car for over a year, fook me, felt terrible the next day, like been run over by a tractor and I skint my knuckles so everytime I dip into my jeans pockets it's sair!

That's just the tip of the iceberg of the car trade, glad I actually ain't in it no more.

Liam you forgot the constant exposure to car exhaust fumes (think of that you selfish lot that run around with EGR valve disconnected),working with oil & other substances, often working outside under vehicles in all conditions, having to buy you own tools (decent kit your looking at £8-10K) stink of oil & so do your clothes all the time, more expensive car insurance, annoying customers to deal with, test driving death traps (and believe me there are plenty around!) spending around a month away from home on constant training, crap pay,no future prospects etc etc yeah its great fun(n)

A bit late for an aprrentiship now aint it? i mean i started at 14 going to college one day a week from school, then 2 days a week, i was then guarenteed a modern apprentiship and i have gone that route. Try and get a job as a helper, or go to college at night?
