Apline 9855 not saving settings when turn off

Bought a Alpine 9855 headunit and its not saving setting e.g. Fader being set to the front speakers and time allignment corrections etc. when I turn my engine off. Had a look in the manual and searched google and came up with nothing. Anyone had any ideas why this is?

And it goes quiet every so often and goes quiet randomly in places on cds then goes back to full volume
