hi,
when i ordered my 500 4 weeks ago the dealer offered me supaguard for £250 which i declined then about a week later phoned me and said i could have it for £150 which i accepted but after reading thru the threads here and detailing world i realised this was a bad idea and today phoned the dealer and told him i dont want the supagard which he was ok about!
so today i ordered 2 lambswool wash mitts,2 drying towels, numerous microfibre cloths and some Foam Wax Applicators also got a couple of buckets
i,m also thinking of ordering the full car cleaning and care kit from bilthammer
would this be a good choice? there are so many products my brain is starting to hurt :bang::D any advice would be welcomed cheers(y)

2wash mitts
2drying towels
alot of microfibre cloths
2buckets
presser washer
snow foam lancer
megs last touch
bilberry wheels cleaner
megs gold class car shampoo
clay
buffing towle
ph neutral snow foam
some bottles with foaming sparying heads
wax i use autoglym hd wax sems good to me
autoglym super rinse polish

that lot should keep you going could add more tho

some bottle with atomeiser head also are useful, clay wise BH SOFT clay pref. or Sonus Extra fine
dont need to use a QD just water for BH clay, although the Sonus does but just mix some up with some shampoo and water in a spray bottle (personally using some AG for my QD and Zaino Z-7 shampoo).

AG HD is very good although now i use it on my wheels mentioning that a sealent might be usefull AG EGP (Extra Gloss Protection) is helpful plus readily avaliable and AG SRP are useful.

although when using FFS dont use much at a time otherwise the amount of dusting is awful, work a little at a time on a panel till clear and repeat a few times on each panel. SRP has abrasives to cut at a few of the likely swirls and some fillers to fill in some deeper ones.

One thing to note that with the Foam wax you will need to use glass cleaner on your windscreen and wipers after each wash....
sorry andy i must have typed it out wrong i meant wax applicators made of foam, also after doing a few searchs and reading your comments regarding bilt hamber products i bought the full car cleaning and care kit,is it best to wait a few months on a new car before claying or ok to do it soon as you get it?
thanks

i personally would go by how the surface of the paint feels after a wash and dry off, using the back of your hand carefully go over the paint and feel for any bumps in the paint if there are few and the paint is not smooth then clay it, if not then dont, wash it again after if you do clay it, it is all dependent on mileage where its driven and kept the reason for not giving a definitive answer really...

should be OK to clay...... They pick up a lot of dirt in transit and fall out from the docks and railways when they are transported from the factory paints baked dry and then a few weeks in transit should be ok to go straight in with clay,......
