Anyone mountain bike?

Just out of interest does anyone on here mountain bike often? Im sometimes down the scottish borders, mainly Glentress battering the tracks by myself since i dont really know anyone else thats into it!

I used to be, but haven't done for about 5 years!

My bikes were usually buckets, they got fairly well, erm, used...to the point theyd break easily! I had numerous bumps and scrapes, scuffed the whole of my face at one point on rough tar on Andy Drive (VERY sore) so have kinda been put off anyway!

i cycle quite a lot but not out on crazy tracks. last time i did that i broke my collar bone :x

Thats part of the fun with mountain biking, its dangerous! luckily i never been in any bone breaking stacks but ive had my fair share of scrapes and come still come back for more

well my bone didnt heal properly and so it caused me a lot of pain and discomfort for over a year. ive taken up different hobbies since then

i have a mountain bike- had to cycle back from fife with a snapped rear axle :shock:

mine is a really nice bike, a dawes acoma, worth quite a bit of money too. light as a feather and you can get it up to a really decent speed. i enjoy cycling a lot though, keeps me fit if i didnt then the rowing would kill me lol

i mountain bike alot. the pentland hills are right next to me so plenty to do, also go down to innerleithin.

but my mountain bike is more downhill style so cycleing up hill is a right ***t :lol:
