Anyone looking for a nice little run around?

Do you know if they actually made the Lancia Hyena?

From what I remember, it was based on the Delta mechanicals.

Very nice :) How much do they want for it? The yellow one at the bottom is very very nice :)

Mr AL.

I know the last owner had other super-rally cars and no doubt countless exotic sportscars, but how could anyone have that in their garage for 15 years without driving it?

You mean the Hyena thats on the Bravo Guide ;)

Not to my taste but Ozric will wax lyrical about it - I thought he was going to pass out with exitement on the day lol!

Nige

I did a sex wee in me pants! LOL!

The Hyena is built by a coachbuilder in Italy and is built on a donor 'grale. YUM! :)

As for the S4, I wonder if I can sell the house without my mate knowing? ;) WANT IT!!!!

Awesome little cars. For £25k there was nothing / is nothing that can touch it.

Who's is the Hyena?

I think they usually end up selling for aroun £60k but this one looks a bit special so who knows how much they want for it but whatever it is it would still be a bargain.

I meant the road-going Delta for £25k

For 60k - I would get the 8c Competizione, if it ever makes production.
Failing that, a second hand Maserati Ghibli Cup keeping the loose change for service bills.

What the hell have they done to the restyled 147. Urrch!

The 8C is as exclucive i guess if the numbers i've seen talked about are right but no one seem to know how many of the S4s were made, Lancia were supposed to make a certain number for homologation reasons but it is rumoured they may have been slightly economical with the numbers so they actually made far fewer than they were meant to. The big thing about the S4 is the racing pedegree it comes with and owning a group B rally car is more of a dream to me than any super car.

Are they extremely well crafted, are they built from parts that have been manufactured out of superior materials?

I think these were built out of some kind of magnesium alloy, great for strength and weight but not so good when you hit a tree at 150mph and burst into flames if you remember your GCSE/O-level chemistry! I also read somewhere that at one point they were filling the roll cages of these types of car with Nitrous oxide, an ingenious use of otherwise wasted space but i'm not sure if i'd want to be the one driving an armed bomb at high speeds through the forrest stages of the RAC lombard rally.

So of the £60k pricetag, how much are you paying for its rarity value, for engineering and how much is because it is hand built?

I hear the pricetags of rally cars and my pulse stops.

It's not just rarity, it's the part in history when rallying was at it's most extreme, if you wanted to buy a modern rally car you'd be looking at more than £60k. These cars and also the integrales were the last generation of cars that relied on mechanics instead of software engineers and electronics experts and that's why i think motoring enthusiasts love them. Have you seen the lines that modern WRC's take through corners, they are vertually using traditional racing lines because the cars are so good at finding traction and keeping the car under control the art of sideways driving is going out of favour and it's a sad trend i'm affraid that isn't going to turn around.

Now it's like watching a computer game, just with better graphics.
