Anyone know how you can find out if specs are active, are there dummy spec or are all real

As above, reason, think im getting my license taken away fro about 100mph in specs, awaiting to see if i get a letter through the door

As far as I know, all the SPECS cameras are genuine, they only put fake GATSO cameras out.

Hope I'm wrong though...

How did u manage to average a ton through a SPECS camera area??

well i was racing a honda civic Ssport down the m1,came on a j8, left at j9, but there is road works and temporary specs, so didnt knwo they were there, i think im gonna get ****ed and will loose my job if i do, prob avaraged about 90 i would say cos did slow down after a while

If you averaged less than 93 I think you will just get a massive fine and points, over 93mph and its bye bye license.

not your year mate, caught thru traffic lights and now speeding...lol

think you need to re-evaluate your priorities mate. yeah i do race occasionally but you should always pay attention to the roads ahead of you. they must have be signed? you'll av to do retest and all that crap and then insurance will probably double if you can ge insured!

The cameras record your speed through both cameras. Saw them last week when i was that way. You go past the first one and it reord your reg and then wait for you to pass the second further down the road and works out your average speed. So if you slowed down by the second camera you might be ok if your lucky.

not being funny seb but the less people like you on the road the better, every one drives quick some times but to say if you lost your licence you dont care etc etc then you dont deserve one!

unfortunatly mate, all the specs on the M1 are now active. i work for a sat nat company and i went out the other day to collect the GPS location for all the cameras.

the only way youll get away with it is if your plate is too dirty for the camera to pick up properly (which does happen)

OR (this is a maybe)i dont think that the cameras are pointing at lane 3, only 1 and 2. so if u were in the fast lane, u shouldnt get done. as i said tho its only a maybe so dont quote me!

plus, as was pointed out earlie, u have to pass beneath 2 cameras for them to tag you.

you could always do the run again (@40!) and check whether there are two cameras between the junction.

i average round 100 on m4, should stop now i got remoulds, probably explode. I goto stop speeding, cant help it sumtimes, drivin so borin otherwise
