Anyone got?....

Just incase someone has any of the following items kicking about spare, thought I'd ask!.....

> Rear window wiper motor
> Marea door handles (front ones with barrel holes) - any colour

Doubtful anyone will have them 'spare' but you never know! Anyone know where to get these bits perlease?

I would try my local scrappy but due to health and safety restrictions, joe public isn't allowed to wander about in the yard - staff have to get what you want. Not good!

What scrap yards do you use?
All the one's around here say balls to the H&S regs and let you climb all over the cars.

Its a place called Reclamet over in Thanet (Kent).

Dunno of any other decent scrapy's round SE Kent that will have Bravo/a in them due to the relative young age of the cars (compared to others in the yards).

I've only ever seen one bravo on my various scrappie raids and I don't think anyone got out of it alive.

having read your insworld site - i noted you have a reconditioned engine - where abouts did the engine come from do you know? as my aunt is looking for one? i may get one if its a good price too!

Unfortunately the source of the engine I'm unsure of.

Basically I bought the car on the understanding that the engine had been swapped and the work had been done by a mate of the previous owner in his spare time (to help reduce costs).

I believe the work was done down near Folkestone (Kent) but who did it I'm afraid I don't know.

For me, it was a selling point and one of the reasons why I bought the car (it may be a high mileage car but with a recon engine, it should extend its life somewhat).

I believe the work carried out to purchase the new lump and labour was in the region of £900-£1000.
