Well, now it went just as well, the old diesel chopper (FIAT Scudo 2.0 JTD) had just completed the 200k km mark, but then it was a bit difficult to start, ok new glow plugs - the computer said the old ones were dead.
But it was obviously not what was wrong.
New fuel filter - there was "gold dust" in the bottom of the filter bowl, initially it sort of helped a little with the starting difficulty - it now starts reluctantly 3rd time when engine i warm. When cold it will start on "start spray" only.
When it is started it runs ok, the Preheater relay shows that 8v is supplied when the ignition is on, but 14v when the engine is running??
Battery is ok, fuelpump has at some time, been "the victim"of a faulty voltage regulator
Should I just buy a Fiesta?
