I got my Qubo Trekking in October of 2011 and have since been on three long road trips in Germany although one was in a rental car. I've been from Kiel to the Swiss border near Basel, from Aachen to Liepzig and all over Bavaria. I have seen a total of only...ONE...Qubo and that one had an Austrian number plate!

I've seen two or three current Fiorinos and a few more of their French cousins. Other Fiats are also quite thin on the ground there.

Oddly enough, my friend in Hannover recently bought a not-too-used Panda but she's the exception. Anyone else notice the major shortage of FIAT's, especially Qubo's on German roads or have I just been driving in all the wrong places?:confused::confused:

I've always thought that most Fiats appeal to people with abit of character. I can't imagine many Germans have the right amount of character to 'get' what Fiats are about *thinks Angela Merkel*

You may be correct on that.

I noticed a FIAT main dealer in Hamburg still had the blue disc logo on his garage. The place seemed to be FIAT only (No Alfas, Lancias or Jeeps). I wonder if it wasn't the only FIAT dealer in town.

I have always seen plenty of pandas and puntos in munich. In fact I think fiat had a very good time in germany when the eco incentives were being given.

I passed through Munich in March. It was after dark. The inner ring road was torn up in many places as they're trying to put it underground or else lower it from the surface streets into it's own special canyon. I was too busy trying to figure out where I was and how to get to where I was going to worry about the makes and models of other cars.

I was also in Wolsfburg recently. It was difficult to find any car at all that wasn't a VW on the road. They must give some very nice employee discounts...

Mrs Bean is German and drives a Doblo. In her distant past she did own a Panda mk1 as well. Now as I understand it, Germany is Fiats biggest export market.

I'd have never expected that based on personal observations. Only the 500 is selling in enough quanity to be noticed on the streets and roads.
