My opinion of Firestone tyres is hard, long wearing and low grip, even more so in the wet (or maybe my old just had s**t ones on their car). However I find that these are stock fitment on the rims I was about to order, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of these tyres and if so how good or bad are they?

sz80's look ugly, i'd rather have some nangkang, federal or accelera sporty looking ones with softer rubber, they cost less than firestones but they dont last as long so fairs fair. but they look better and grip better so its budget sport treads all the way for me. i've had most makes and i prefer the budget ones by far.

What size are you talking about? The Cento lot have their Nangkang Hedge Hunters, but in the 195/50R15 size for my Tipo they were quite good, even in the wet.

The width and profile seems to make massive differences in how a tyre behaves even though its of the same material, build, tread pattern etc.

Hellcat, yeah I'm looking at 195/50R15 tyres...

Jug, I've come to use Pirelli P5000 175/50R13s on my punto so far & if I want to go for grip I could always get a set of Toyo trackday tyres and not venture out in the wet :D
