 well after buying my fiat ulysse i have found that the side sliding doors stick! ahhhhh kids try to pull handle off! lol any ideas how to get thse doors sliding any better as it driving my crazy,it like the door dont want to open!:bang:

This has always been a problem on mine.
It has two ways of sticking, firstly it is as if the rubber surround holds the door and secondly when you pull the handle nothing happens.
I have tried to cure the first problem by applying silicon spray to the rubbers, it helps a bit.
The second problem is just a matter of learning the knack of opening the door by 'snatching' the handle. Easier to demonstrate than explain, if you just pull the handle it will not open. At least it keeps the Mother-in- law out!
Thats my experiance in four years of owning a Ulysse.

I had this problem on my old one (I have electric ones now  ) the fault was due to the catch not opening fully when the handle was pulled. The cable was adjusted by the dealer, it only took a few minutes to do.

As for mother in laws, I found some barbed wire wrapped round the handle does the trick(y)

i adjusted the keeper the latch goes into dont take the screws right out you may loose them forever ,as for adjusting the rod under the door panel it dont all you do is bend it a little as years of pulling on it straghtens it out :slayer: the rod that is (y)

I have this poblem from time to time where the door wont slide open from the outside, I get around this by opening the drivers door and pushing the internal door handle and the door opens first time every time, dont know why it happens but as long as the door opens and its not constant I am happy.

Same here only a couple of days ago I could not open the n/s sliding door until I reached around the door pillar and tried to lock the door. since the drivers door was open the lock springs back up straight away and I found I could open the door then:confused:

Plus I have just realised the door on the o/s does not always lock when the others do:confused:

Never mind. I still love her:p

SOLVED MY SLIDING DOOR PROBLEM:D

was going around the car spraying the hinges and contacts when I noticed that the rubber cover protecting the contacts for the door electrics had gone over the top of the bottom contact. Just pushed it back in place, and now working fine:)

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE:rolleyes:
