hi all , new to the forum so this is my first post , ive owned a multipla 1.6 petrol sx 51 plate for about a month , my problem is ive got a yellow light on the dash and an error saying engine control fault please contact garage , losing power and its intermittent when driving , ive been told it maybe the airflow sensor ? can anyone advise or shed any light on this problem ? even cost ?

Take it to the garage and have them plug there computer into it? Could be N number of problems - when our engine light came on it was the cambelt failing, and thats with the diesel engine. It could be N number of sensors really or the ECU itself.

Go get it checked - its normally about £60 for the diagnosis with the computer...

ty ive got a m8 who's gonna plug his machine thing in and see what the errors or error is and ill post back tomorrow

is the airflow sensor for the petrol multipla sx the same as the diesel version ?

as ive found a cheap price for the sensor £34.99 with delivery on ebay !!!

just need to know if compatible

have you had the codes read?

definitely had an airflow meter? struggling to remember them having one, and you dont normally have a MAF and a MAP

can you point out which bit you replaced? from memory if it had a flow meter it would be between the airbox and the throttle body?
