Just fitted a new system to my gf's car. Bought the correct aerial converter from halfords, plug it all in and was great!

Now the little pin inside the middle of the original aerial lead has snapped off :(

Any ideas how i can fix it / Get around it?

She still wants the aerial for TA's and it also gives the stereo the time etc!

Thanks

Mk1 punto. . . Where does it run? Up the passenger A pillar? Or another dodgy route?

dont have a punto but generally found they go up the drivers side.
now the important bit...................
if oyu do remove the aerial & cable make sure you connect a cable to it as you remove it so you can use that cable to pull the new one through.
i'll get this moved to punto so the punto peeps can help (y)

Ok. Ill try the butchering way first then if i have to replace the whole cable! (cutting, soldering a peice of coax on, and then modifying it to fit the adapter!)

If that don't work - I'm 99% sure changing the whole cable will be a right ball ache!

Kewl. Will check maplins now mate!

Thanks for that :D

Might even get the right end on the cable. . . ?:)

Surely one of these would work straight away?

Just cut off / Feed in, tighten and stick into stereo?

Well, i got one off eBay for £2.64 delivered, and I can honestly say that:

1) Its cheaper than an ordinary converter from Halfords
2) It actually works 100% perfectly!

Definately recommend one of these to anybody, even if you havent botched your aerial already! ;)
