Ants - How do you get rid of them

Paul,

The job is yours, but your no allowed to blow the house up.

You live in Nottingham don't you. I bought a new Little Tikes Play Castle off E-Bay for Sam last month and sent a cheque for the money. It's been cashed but I have heard nothing from the seller. His address is Albans Road, Arnuld, Nottingham. If he/she is local to you, I may have to employ your services to go and see if somebody is there.

I am offended you think I would blow the house up....without asking ;)

Andy, I live about 5 mins from there, however, you don't know Arnold's reputation do you?! I hate the place and in some areas it's quite scary! Also I am uni in Manchester ;)

£150! WTF!

Far too much cash going around FF, £60 shirts and now £150 plastic houses!

I nominate Gaz now to get rid of the ants, I'm sure he can do something in a haphazard way and completely obiliterate them!!

Liam

You don't want to know what we paid for our plastic house and swing set :p

Still, managed to get a nice £100 discount coz on the shop floor :D - plus put it through the 'books' as well ;)

Jees, found "The Little Tikes Log Cabin Playhouse"

Wait for it.........£249.99!!

Lunacy!

For some people, the happiness of kids far outweighs the cost of looking after them :D [anyway, one way to spend child benefit, the pittance it is].

The proper price of the castle is £400 on Amazon, but it has stopped being produced so it was a bargain, unless of course I don't get it. I bought him a remote control Land Rover Defender when he was a week old, it has 4 wheel drive, low ratio gearbox, remote opening doors, indicators etc. My wife was a little sceptical that it was a really a present for a baby.

Paul, I will pay for a transit full of helpers for you to go round there and find out for me.

Hot water won't work due to the makeup of the hole. Its designed so that when it rains the ants can be safe away from the water.

Nippon is only any good in really sizable quantities. I usually uncover the hole, wait till loads of ants come out and then spray the buggers to oblivion.

Dave

I have looked into the Ant Eater option and they seem pretty hard to get hold of, there aren't even any on E-Bay and London Zoo were reluctant to lend me one for some reason.

Are there any other animals which eat ants as this would be a very environmentally concious way of sorting them out.
