mk1 punto 5dr.

got a front anti roll bar, that IMO might aswell not be there.

just want to stiffen the back up, and heard of EL's and GT's etc getting rear antiroll bars.

My thinking is:-

small flexible as you like FWD car, needs to be stiff at rear with little roll, and a fair bit of flex at front to create body roll induced grip, correct?

Exactly. Speaking to SediciRich he's looking to almost solidify the rear (with 750Nm springs) and have the front as soft as possible. Obviously don't want to be as hard for the road - but same principles apply.

Sounds about right, but if you let the front move about too much doesn't that lead massive understeer?

anyone know which puntos carry the heavy (if any atall would be good!!) rear antiroll bars, and some lightweight fronts (maybe 55's carry lighter fronts than a 60?)

just I'm bored of understeer now, and with winter here again, I want to live thru it.

thats what I want!!!!

I can make mine (std suspension) really dig in on the big two lane roundabouts abou washington on a dry day, sometimes really getting it rather too far, but great fun, can just about beat anything round there (as long as schumacher or his wannabe isn't driving the other car). i never speed, just continue the speed limit, OVER the roundabout. Not wise I know, but if you dordle, then people pull out on you, if you are a faint green blur, they tend to hang back:cool:

My punto got easy to provoke into oversteer when I put 15" rims on it, the problem was that the suspension was shot and required completely renewing (hence why I sold it). Now if you can work out why worn out suspension tended to deliver controllable oversteer when it was asked you're sorted.

if it was a mk1, then it was your rear arms flopping about, causing the contact patch to change at crucial points in a corner, and hench cause the back end to do what the hell it likes!!!!

But I am not going to deliberatly break them, the square speed bumps do that for me about every 10 months or so!
