Grande Punto Another red T-Jet (:

Introduction

I thought i'd share my Grande with everyone as it seems to be the thing to do (y)

Anyway i've had the car around 2 months now and love every bit of it, one night I drove my friends (GotGrande) and I just had to get one, was a great upgrade! Cleaned the car over the weekend and thought it was time to get some pictures up.

Only thing changed is debadged boot but got a couple of things to buy when money becomes available :)
Let me know what you think :)

Thought this sounded dodgy last week mate you are definitely not being inpatient at the end of the day it is YOUR car and as a garage there priority should be there customer weather they are paying or not. You could possibly ring and ask for the manager better yet go in and ask for the manager and explain how you feel you have be, well lied to basically and that if they mess about any longer you demand them to pay to have it taken to another garage on the back of a tow truck and give them a date to have this done by and when all is done I would put a complaint in anyway even if they are compliant with you. Like I said it is YOUR car mate even when its in there care they can't just keep it for the sake of keeping it if they were to busy to do it in the first place they wouldn't have taken it in.

Again mate I also fear that they will be asking for £££ more. Were you given a quote at all for the work to be done?

They said I only have to pay for new wiper blades, so side skirt and gearbox is covered under warranty!

Is this a trusted garage mate? A main dealer?
I wouldn't have handed my car in to anything other especially if it's a specialist car like yours.
How much is this box setting you back btw if you don't mind me asking?

It's the garage I bought the car from which is EMG as they claim to be fiat specialists I wasn't too worried, they did the 5 speed box on my tjet. 99% sure it's covered under warranty

whens the warranty up? heard in some cases they dont do anything to the car to try and get it out of the warranty period!

ask to speak to the manager say its taking WAY to long and you need the car for work.

End of the month it runs out. Hadn't thought of that you know, think I will have to get in contact with the manager asap
Jordan92 Think i'm going to just wait till it's all done, drive it around for a week or so just to make sure they haven't missed something or haven't done it properly, then, start thinking about complaining to the manager etc.

Thanks for all the input people, was worried I was just being impatient and didn't want to complain if it was unnecessary and seem like a cheeky sod! :)

Within the next hour I will finally have her back! With a cost of £18 they say, so fingers crossed all goes well and that's all I have to pay, hopefully i'll be smiling like so :D in the next hour!

'Going through the wash stage' I was told so i'll have to go and get it filthy so I can give it a detail in the coming weeks. Should take a hour or 2 where I live to get it caked again haha

Well only just got back from driving about, it was a bit squeaky when I picked it up so given it a good run in as it's been standing for the best part of the month! All seems to be good, no gearbox whine and the side skirt seems to be stuck fairly well lol

However, it's come back to me with a small problem, you have to hold the steering wheel slightly to the right (not quite to the 1 oclock position but near enough) would have though I would have noticed this before though. Haven't had the time to check the tyre pressures as of yet but I think they have more than likely knocked out the tracking some how, any ideas?

Well seeing as the weather was lovely today gave the car a quick clean and went out for a long drive. Took my camera with me incase I came across a decent place for a photo or 2, which I did! Only took the 1 picture as it looked pretty good on my cameras display, upon looking at it on a computer screen i'm not so happy with it though, will have to go back another day and stick around for longer than 30 seconds!
None the less another picture for you all to look at (y)

As for the car itself, i've still got wonky steering but as it's going in for a m.o.t in a week or 2 i'll leave it until then to be checked out, hopefully just the tracking!

Lovely car, makes me wish i got mine in red. Is this lowered? Haven't had a good look through the posts just wanted to see the end product ATM and god it looks lovely, especially against the white rims!

Mine also does this, steers left a lot!

Cheers stephen! That is a bit weird tom, have you had it looked at? My car didn't go into the garage with wonky steering but came out with it lol

Yesterday a friend of mine was having a look round my car (bit of an enthusiast) and he turned to me and said 'What are you going to do to it?'. I've often thought about this myself, I believe you should always make a car your own even if it's just a sticker or something small. My only plan is to de-tango all the lights and maybe experiment with some vinyl bits. Really stuck for ideas and at the same time I don't want to do anything 'permanent' (aslong as it can be removed one day).

I wouldn't really normally ask, but what would you do to my car to enhance/personalize it?

I would'nt do anything to the exterior of the car or the interior given this is already a bloody good looking car :D would money not be better spent on the performace side of things i.e. remap etc?

Regards
Stephen

There is no point in Eibachs as its already on SS springs and 18" Wheels, ride would be atrocious!!!

I would really honestly only suggest some Koni FSD if you want the suspension upgraded, or blistiens, improve handling and make the ride a bit more predictable especially over bumps in the road.

Other than that not a lot more can be done apart from what you suggested, I have some small ideas for interior changes on mine but I still need to see if they can be done, or take a £100 gamble!

PS my car, I think its either a tracking or suspension issue, I clipped a speed bump once in it, one of those stupid 1/2 bumps and I think it got the left hand arm/wishbone.
