Just got myself a Punto 1.8 HGT Abarth and can't wait to get it on the road. Costing a lot with insurance etc but hopefully worth it.

Here's what i bought http://users.autoexposure.co.uk/dri...uk/is/autoedit/SHD9170304/AETV99648803_1a.jpg

Not sure if it's a good deal or not but i'm happy. Was £2995 minus £650 for px on my 2001 punto 1.2. It's also having a free full service, MOT and new battery as current is flat aswell for nothing extra.

should have it delivered in the week sometime, can't wait (y)

well, i only test drove it today and fell in love with it. gotta wait till 12th july to close the deal because of insurance. i turn 21 then so can insure it. the guy that drove it aswell showed me what it can do. i cant believe how wll it drove. so much grip. how are you finding yours?

Haven't driven it yet, just given it a look over and revved the engine as it's got no MOT so they're giving it a service and MOT before i get it midweek sometime.

Sounds a little low. Would have been better selling it on eBay surly?

But new motor does look ace.

Oh yeah forgot to mention needs a respray on the offside quarter panel as some paint came off so prefered to just trade it than get the respray and sell.

needs abarth bumpers(y)

other than that it looks pretty tidy.

(maybe lowering in the future also:))

Was thinking about bumpers etc. but have no idea about body kits. Am I right a MK2 punto bodykit would fit?

I got one a few months ago now, Sprint Blue W reg, very happy, a lot nicer to drive than my old 206 gti! Im 27 though so insurance is only £450.

I paid £2k for mine, FSH, 67k and a years MOT/Tax. Cracking little car, just seems everyone in a punto wants to race me now though!

Thats not an abarth its just a normal HGT.

Yeah I kinda guessed it wasn't an Abarth after I said it cos of the standard bumpers.

Anyways got my HGT today and very happy so far, very nippy and a lot of fun like most people say.

Lookin to change some things with it now though, is it possible to remove the Blaupunkt Sat Nav and put in my own stereo? just cos it's got an Ipod port on it and i'l never use cd's or radio and the Satnav looks like it belongs in the 80's on a Spectrum so entertainment wise is zero in the car atm. i know the keys i need and maybe need a new fascia adaptor for it but no idea wat the wires are like behind and if it will be a str8 plug n play like i did on the old punto.

Thanks for any help. If it can be done i may just take the stereo to a car audio place and see if they can fit it for me if they do that kinda thing.

Fascia adapter and a wireing harness then change red and yellow wires round so you have an ignition live. You will just had to turn it off each time you get out the car :)
