General Another Panda Cross ordered

Diesel, natch!
Space saver, folding passenger seat ( for carrying looong things)
Winter pack ( not too bothered about the heated seats, but the windscreen? Oh yes...)

I've had my lovely (green diesel, no extras) cross since spring 2009 and have absolutely loved it. Where I live the tracks and roads are narrow, steep and can be very rough, and the Cross has just been fantastic. It was made for roads like these, and to be honest tackles it all with more panache than my old Landy. i will be sad to see the old one go, but I know the dealer has already got someone lined up for it, so my loss is someone else's gain. Best car I have ever had ( and I'm sure the Yellow Peril will be better still)
Roll on Monday!!!!

Good news for you, can't be long now! Mine is status 16 at the moment.
Got a set of sill plates and some Waxoyl waiting for it :)

Hmm yes, good job it wasn't a Range Rover!!

Seems to be taking an long time to get from the docks (40) to your dealer, my Cross is still at 16, so it looks like I'll be waiting a while longer

My car is at the dealers :)

Not happy that the monthly repayment figure has gone up by £20 & the APR by 2% (over what was agreed in November) though, even though three more payments on the 500 have happened.

Can't collect until Thursday (wife is away with the 500) but will call in later to discuss.

The only addition over the original order / quote was Tuscany Green over Cancan Red but that's only £160 difference.

£20 over 4 years is a lot more - £960!! WTF.

Not sure where I stand now?

Any advice welcomed?

Thanks.

If you have an agreement, how can the dealer alter its terms arbitrarily?

The only difference since the original quote was the paint change, done before the order actually went in.

I guess the 500 will have deprecated a bit since late November (way less than 1000 miles) but payments have gone through too.

The PCP settlement figure will have changed but by that much.

The APR though!?!?

You have a contract, based on the figures you were given when you placed your order. Tell them they can shove their car unless they honour the deal. The additional amount you're being asked to pay is not a trivial amount.

PS. Coincidentally, I had an email from my local salesperson this morning telling me that the current deals on the Cross are even better than before Xmas, and that the interest rate is lower than before, so what you're being told makes no sense. Having said that, my local salesperson isn't exactly brilliant at the maths...

Indeed it's not :( :(

£960 is a lot for £160 worth of paint!

I would hope 3 months depreciation would be cancelled out by three monthly payments too.

I paid a £500 refundable deposit to secure the deal too :(

I'm there later as I said.

PS, ordered a shed load of Panda accessories from them this morning. Go figure......

Blimey, I would be very gruntled indeed if they had done that to me. It's probably no comfort but my monthly payment came down £16 by the time I picked the Cross up (which wasn't that great a period of time if you remember). As far as I am aware they are not allowed to up the price once a confirmed order has been made, if that difference is just down to the paint change then my gasts are well and truly flabbered?

Saw the car earlier, already wearing my personalised plate(y)

More or less got to the bottom of the finance issue too (it's £10 a month more but still).

A bit complex to say the least but almost happy......the affinity scheme is now £3.5k instead of £3250 & I'm getting £500 loyalty so £4k off in total but the 500 is in negative equity on existing PCP. Just need the p/x to come up a bit:eek:

So, all things being equal, collecting on Thursday afternoon:)

Looking good - what's the laser gun thing on the roof in that picture??!! ;)

I've ordered a boot liner, sill kick guards, 4x4 Mats & the Italian Pandapaw print pillar badges.

They'll fit them before Thursday as long as they come in(y)

I've just posted a p/x warning over in the 500 lounge:(

My Car Check rates my car as £7280. I'm getting £5.5k which is shocking when CAP average is £5750(n)

Will push hard for a further £250 tomorrow.......
