Hi all, just registered with your forum and still waiting for my new Qubo (ordered end of April). I think it's in it's embryo stage at the moment in Turkey.....was told today it's at Stage 17 with picking up date around the end of July.
Years ago I was well into custom vans and part of the rodding scene too, but as I seem to be getting older each day, whilst the mind's willing, the body ain't and due to an industrial accident 23 years ago, I've found that the best car for me now is the auto/my life/75 Qubo. (Metallic Black with Axel Red interior)....no extras 'cos 'er in doors said so.:(

All the best, Gerry, Sunny Cornwall

Welcome to the forum, hows the weather down there? Is it really sunny?

I wish! It's been a tad on the windy and wet side again today (yesterday was worse though) I always say that Cornwall's one of the prettiest places on earth when the sun shines, and when it's raining we have the sunny days to look forward to! :)

Welcome Gerry!

one things for sure the qubo will be worth the wait!

Hmm I know she who must be obeyed said the same to me but i'm creeping slowly but surely the odd mod onto my 75 Mylife )

Update.............from being 'advised' that the preferred delivery date was 30th June 2012, to being told by another salesman, "more like the end of July mate"......now we're (more or less) at the end of July, it's more likely to be the third week in August, second if I'm lucky :-(
I guess one of the beauties of buying a car made in a far off land. The ironic thing is that one of my Sons will be working in Turkey in August.......he told me that in June, and I jokingly said he could collect my Qubo when he's over there.
Memo to self....keep big mouth shut .

I think something went wrong somewhere. If you ordered in late April you should have had it in late June or early July. I ordered mine in early July of 2011 and it arrived in late August, in other words the entire vacation season.

Could it be that your dealer or Fiat UK dropped the ball and your order got pushed to the side or forgotten about? The Qubo/Fiorino/Nemo/Bipper isn't so popular that the delivery delay matches that of the 500, is it?

Heck, that was quick to wait just two months......

To be honest, I'm not up to date with delivery times of the Fiats.....My current Motability car is a BMW Mini, and the dealer kept me informed from start to finish and the customer service I got from them (Ocean Falmouth) was, and always has been, top notch.
However, the Mini's no longer suitable and I found the Qubo to be ideal.
I had the test drive on the 30th April (Vospers, St Austell), and I've just checked the order again, 30th April, 'desired' delivery date, 30th June.

If it's going to be the third week in August, I may as well wait yet another week and get the 62 reg, not that I'm really bothered that much about registration dates:(

So far, I can't say I'm very impressed though.

Problem is lately motability customers seem to be treated second rate in some dealerships, I know stoneacre mine was a nightmare NO information from ordering and only found out a few weeks before delivery they'd ordered the wrong qubo I asked for then tried to blame me for the error!! (ordered a trekking...ended up with a mylife) i've asked around & this dealer seems to be the same with others BUT according to my neighbour the service staff are superb (he's got a punto)

Morning, I ordered mine on 21st March, didn't get it until July 5th lol and was told it would be 8 weeks delivery, the lady at the dealers was very good though and I got a txt nearly every week, having problems now though :(

Hi Gerry,

Bit late I know, but some how managed to miss your posts. Welcome to the Forum, and hope you get your new Qube soon. Great car, very versatile.
Cheers Qube O.

Thanks Qube O, and all the other welcomes too :)

....tell me about it. About 4 years ago I made an appointment to see the Motability guy at my local Merc Dealer (Probus nr Truro). I arrived for my appointment and he was with a 'customer'. I hung around, and around, (and around...) and as my back problems were getting the better of me, and he was more interested in attending to someone else and the dealership took no notice of me being there, I called it a day after 1/2hr of being ignored.
Making sure it wasn't my armpits that were the problem, in went the complaints, and very soon a sheepish grovelling, Motability salesman from the Merc Dealership phoned me. (probably with wrists duly well slapped).

Er in doors phoned Vospers the other day and all being well I could be getting the Q next week. I've already been in to sign a form so that the car can be taxed, so it's fingers crossed.

Shame your having probs Scorps, yours wasn't built on 'poets' day I hope.

Today was the day I picked the Qubo up :)

The Motability guy at my Fiat dealer (Matt May) chased up and got everything sorted for me, so obviously a big public "thank you" to Matt at Vospers, St Austell.
The Qubo is just what I needed and what I wanted.

The wind deflectors are already on as well...looks good :)
