General Another Marea starting problem!!!!

Help, we've got a Marea stranded at a local garage, it even has them foxed!

Its a 1.6 W reg weekend model, only out of the garage 36 hours after MOT and engine cut out while driving along. AA suggested Crank shaft sensor which has been replaced, still no joy. Apparently its not sparking, engine turns over but won't fire up. There's a crack on the coil pack but power not getting thru that far so not the cause of the problem. Have tried the master key and nothing showing up on diagnostics so far, altho have been told garage getting in a v expensive expert...

Any suggestions? We're starting to wonder if its only fit for scrap...

Try the fuel cut off switch under your passengers seat or footwell.

Had car back from garage today,apparently fault was a broken wire from the ignition key mech,drove back to work from there,about 10 miles.no problem...

HOWEVER....

On way back from work was just accelerating after a bend and the engine just died again,tried starting,turned over but no spark. Called AA out again,bloke went thru various things and came to the engine management fuse which had blown,changed it and car fired up straight away.starting to think all the work garage said they'd done smells like fish to me,£240 worth,any opinions?!

NOT HAPPY!!!
