another key problem..

A while ago i lost a set of keys and now i only have the burgandy key which im using everyday which is not ideal. Can anybody tell me the best way to go about getting a new blue key without it costing me a fortune? The dealer is telling me ill need a full diagnostic check and 3 new keys!

I think U can make a duplicate blue key from the red 1.
The place that can do that is, I think Timpsons

you should just be avle to go to fiat a them cut a new key. i'm from the south but i've heard there is a place up north thatll do you the key an chip for about £30 i think can't be certain though

im in leeds but have never heard of timspons.. are they a specialist key cutting company? is it a chain of stores or just 1 shop?

Yup depending on the year of your bravo (don't think they can do them after 98 or 2000 or somethin - check) Timpsons can copy ur key with chip for £20 plus a second one half price.

I have seen Timpsons all over the place - thought they were a nationwide company (tis just like any ordinary shoe repair/key cutting store - bet there are some down south).

Had two blue keys cut of my red key at timpsons for £45! Everything works fine with them, look at there site to find stores:

Timpson's will only be able to make (code) you a blue key only if you have a blue key to copy the transponder code from it,

Otherwise if they create one from the red, it's gonna have the same transponder code stored on it and act as another red key.


They can't create a blue from a red.

YOu can buy a blank (uncut) blue key from fiat and get a normal shop to cut it for you, then use the red key to program it into the immobiliser.

they can code a blue from a red, coz thats wot they did for me, watched em do it, asked em about the other codes which use a different type of reader, and all my blue keys work, coded and copied of my red!

All this blue key red key sh** why cant people just keep their keys safe! its not hard you only use one so lock the other two away! my red key is in my safe with my v5 and log book and my pennies
