Hiya Folks

I previously owned a pre 07 bravo, had to just get rid of my Stilo due to seriously corroded Subframe so have just bought an 07 Bravo. Low and behold same issues; rusting Subframe and an oil leak on the NS differential.

It's like I see the issues but I still buy the car! Haha. So I've waxoyld the Subframe but this didn't do the stilo much use, any other suggestions would be great? But can't see to find a replacement differential bearing any where in the world even my local garage can't!? Any ideas

Thanks

what engine... if it has the m32 gearbox, diff bearings are easy to find=>ebay.

Sub frame rust, wash it, remove rust with sandpaper, use rust converter, paint.. then waxoil...or whatever.

Thanks for the reply Aurick it's the 1.4 90bhp engine? I have checked on eBay already but haven't had any joy. Does anyone know the part number? Thanks

I'm guessing bearings as I've had this on both the original bravo and the stilo and I tried replacing seals on them and it never cured it so put it down to the bearings but never got round to trying to replace them.

well since the seal is so cheap.. and you can do the work in 30 minutes per side... i'd try replacing the seals.....

My t-jet was leaking from the diff/driveshafts seals.... replaced them about 3 years ago... no problem since.
I didn't have a 36mm socket for the drive shaft so i left it attached to the hub carrier. I only detached the hub carrier from the shock, the steering end lick and the ball joint...
It was a bit more difficult putting it back together alone, but i managed.

So maybe you can get lucky and only replace the seal .... it's worth a try.

Good idea! Thanks. Does anyone know the part number for different seals ? Eper seems usual nowadays!
