I changed my CV Boots and lost a little gearbox oil in the process so decided to put some back in.
Several days scouting around the internet came up with:-
"They've removed the dipstick fill it through the reversing switch hole or the breather hole."
Well I can't find a breather hole and reckon I don't have one.
The reversing switch is beyond my reach.
Can't even touch it with the tips of my fingers let alone unplug and unscrew (The perils of an A class motorhome I guess.)
During my reading I saw mention of a level plug somewhere on the gearbox and using an oil can to put oil in.
The bolt in the picture looked a likely prospect.
I procrastinated for a day or so then in fear and trepidation unscrewed the bolt.
Panic, It's obviously not a level plug.
However I continued on my chosen path, squired the oil in and replaced the bolt.
Result: All the gears seem to work (5 speed box)
Any body know what that bolt does?
Doesn't appear on any pics I can find
Cheers,
