Another Console spraying question!

Right so im going to bite the bullet and spray my dash this weekend, what exactly do I need?

1x can of plastic primer?
1x can of paint
Wet & Dry paper?

Is Halfords the best place to get it all and has anyone got any tips for doing it?

2 primer, 2 colour, 2 laquer, 600 grade and 1200 grade wet & dry.
Thoroughly clean and sand before priming. Use 2 coats of each leaving 24 hours between each coat to be sure

Do i need to rub the primer down between each coat? And between the paint coats or not? Or none at all? lol

Well my first ever attempt at spraying has gone pretty well so far...all primed and drying Nice finish too. Even had a brainwave to save having to put the pieces back in and out...just popped out the hazard unit from the console and plugged it in

Just got to wait and see what kind of finish I can get with the paint in the morning, and I chose 'Honda Nobel silver' - just a little darker than the fiat silver

The primer is prett easy - cant really go wrong with it. The colour can be a little harder as it tends to be a little more runny.

The laquer - just spray from a good distance

I think im going to have to go inside for the paint and lacquer coats as the wind was blowing a bit with the primer. Dont think my mums going to be too impressed to find her patio table primered either, lol

Finished! All primered, painted and lacquered with 4 coats of each...overkill, lol!

Pretty happy with the finish to say its my first attempt at it. Just waiting for the lacquer to dry properly before I fit it all back in the car and sit scratching my head at the 'extra' screws left
