The back seat I can help you with;
Tape up this bit:

on whichever side is the culprit. I used strips of duct tape. 10 second job!

'my inside light doesnt work anymore. can i fix it myself or is it a trip to fiat??'

- Have you checked the bulb? Really easy to change if thats all it is

"my brakes have started to squeak do i need new pads??

- Have a look at your brake pads and see how much is left on them. Mine have started to squeak a little but this is due to bying cheap pads.

"my back seat rattles what part do you tape up to stop it?? "

- The little bar about 2" long that the catch latches onto. Wrap a couple of pices of tape around it

"my blowers sometimes go on when they are switched off. i think i will just leave that one though. "

- I wouldnt have a clue either

Haynes manual will help with the Light issue - yes it can be done by you with the right tools and a bit of perseverance.

Seat - tape around the top most metal bars on the back of the seat. (about 4cm long metal bar) one at each end of the rear seats. The seat has the hook, the mounting has the bar. Bit of tape round that will see you right.

Brakes - see a professional. (not FIAT)
hope this helps,
Marko

Re: Re: annoying problems

are the brakes squeeking all the time until you brake, as you start to apply them or all the time whilst you are braking?

If it's all the time until you brake it could be a warped disk or caliper not returning as far as it should.

If it's as you start braking try rubbing your pads with a bit of wet'n'dry. This often helps as since they banned putting asbestos in pads they tend to get hard with use.

If it's all the time whilst you are braking it may be dodgy pads. not really sure.
