Hi all,

Ive looked on the Angel Tuning website to see how much and what effect getting them to do my Bravo SX would be.

It said that by letting them do the work it would give me an extra 8 bhp for £195.00. Surely this is a rediculous amount of money for just +8 bhp?

Any opinions welcome

Thanks

You're trying to tune a 80BHP 1200cc engine that has no forced induction.

How many other 1.2's do you know that have 80BHP as standard?

Its right. But you will feel it in th 1.2. Thats a 10% increase in power (looks better looking that way)

Try and find anything for the 1.2 that will give you a proper 10% increase at that price

I find it well worth studying what horsepower actually means before making assumptions on the benefits of one figure over another.

This article will give you some clarity...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower

As you can see from that, there are so many different ways and methods of measuring horspeower and simply adding "8 to 80" and thinking it's "not a lot" is a tad naive.

As Ian says, the 1.2 is nippy already, and as Wimmy says, the difference you will feel is very noticeable. There are a few people here who have had it done and not a single one has complained. In fact, they have all gushed at the difference an Angel Tune can make. You won't find a better modification for that price. Ever.

In terms of £/BHP it's fantastic value - To think that a Turbocharger will add around 50BHP and would cost around £3-4k for the conversion that's;

£24.38 per BHP for an Angeltune
£70.00 per BHP for a Turbocharger (at £3.5k)

But, you are best reading what Horsepower actually means before making random posts :)

re

also people spend up to £100 on induction kits tat make no real difference,

£300 upwards on stainless steel exhausts that make no real difference,

whereas a tune will make a difference even if just to how the power is delievered.

Sorry to hijack...

Is it worth getting the BMC or CDA induction kit from Angel Tuning as well (for the 1.2) or is the difference not really all that noticeable? Also, which is the better one?

Cheers,

Martin
