Technical Android diagnostic scanner and Alfa OBD demo

I saw a recent post answered by ECUNOTEMU regarding an obd android ELM 27TH interface with demo alfa obd android app.
Can anybody (or ecunotmu ) advise if this set up will work on the earlier 244 JTD series Ducato engine? I know that this engine isn't strictly OBD2 compliant but uses the ISO9141-2 protocol which is supported by the obd interface from eBay as suggested by 'ecunotmu'.
As a secondary question will 'Multieuscan' PC software with suitable cable diagnose low injection pressure without the engine running (ie just cranking over on the starter) or does the engine have to start and run?
Any help much appreciated new to all this OBD technology my old series Land rover doesn't have anything more complicated than an ignition switch on it never mind an ecu!

A good one works ok with alfaobd, you may be able to see if its making pressure on cranking you'll probably need to keep it jumped off a running vehicle and have the battery charged as otherwise the cranking can drop the voltage to the point that you lose communication. It will probably start on a tow and you'll be able to check injector leakoff etc.

Will the eBay one you recommended previously ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Androi.../371247898389?) be okay and up to the job on a 2005 2.8jtd (245) motorhome?
Seem to get variable results with the Multieuscan set up I bought.
Any additional info gladly received!

Crap that was the wrong link I posted, that one took about 40 days to arrive from china. The link below is the one i meant to post. I have personally tested on a 2004 244, it was able to plot at a decent speed without communications errors some others I tested would bomb after you picked more than 2 PIDs. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111500442960
