big shout of thanks out to pete (oldschool) just came over, we swapped out the ignition module, rotor arm, cap and plugs, stuck on a new battery and.....she fired up first time!!!!!:slayer::slayer: engine sounds like a winner, settled to a fast idle almost straight away. but........gearbox sounds like a bag of bolts:mad: not so good, possible clutch issues, time will tell

If the gearbox noise disappears when you push the clutch down and then comes back in neutral and with your foot off the clutch then it's most probably the release bearing. If not, well, there's been a few gearboxes crop up on Ebay recently ;)

Should've given me a shout so I could have come over and helped :rolleyes:

Uno Turbo FTW!!!! she looks pretty good, please lose the colour coding and the sqaure plate, towbars FTL my mark 2 punto had one fitted, not had 7 holes drilled into it though fortunatley, wiring is a bit dodgy just disconected and all sealed up atm in time, im booking it in to have a profesional auto electricion to remove it, sorry to hi-jack thread,

anyways good luck with the UT :) always loved these cars
 
well it's not the clutch, it's the ignition barrel sticking on, so thats a bit of cash saved! chas came over and with his trusty multimeter, we chased a couple of electrical gremlins down, of course this being a 20 year old fiat.....there are always more, and they breed......:bang:
