It's been nice knowing you but the Multipla is being exchanged by the garage for another MPV (Hyundai Matrix). It is still losing oil at the rate of a pint every 100 miles. The head gasket had gone at some point and the garage totally failed to repair the obvious oil leak. I went in there all angried up and they were as nice as pie (or pi?) and just offered an exchange on the spot. They must have known they were onto a loser and they do have a reputation to maintain.

This is a very useful and pleasant forum to frequent.
