General an you put a Punto Sporting engine in a cinquecento?

Hi can anybody tell me what engines i could squeeze in my cinquecento? Looking at a punto sporting engine, also could I fit a Punto GT-Turbo engine or an Uno Turbo engine in it? Let me know please guys and galls :slayer:

Lots of threads on this. It's possible, lots of fabrication required. Generally results in something that doesn't handle at all well. 1.4 superFIRE is a better, easier, bet (but not a cheap option).

No. Punto 75 is 1242cc, early MPI, lumpy cam. 1.4 SuperFIRE is from Panda 100hp, Stilo 1.4 16v, etc. It's the engine that the Evo crew fitted here and that Kripit and Green16v have used. All these in Seis, but it'll fit in a Cinq.

Next step will be for someone to fit the motor out of the Abarth 500 SS: the same engine, but turbocharged, and a likely Mini Cooper S eater, especially in a Cinq!

I know GoBe was having a few issues with my old 1.2 16v and the headlight on the cinq, which would apply to the 1368. not sure if he has resolved them now though.

I think you need to shorten the offside bolt. Probably depends, as well, on which slam panel is fitted. Later Cinqs used the same one as the Sei, so there should'nt be any huge problems there. Cinqs have the advantage of being easier to fit bigger wheels to, and being lighter. Disadvantage is that they're not so rigid.
