I have a DLS CA23 hooked up to front speakers I have a sub so if possible I want that to handle the majority of the bass and just have clear sound from my front speakers. But I'm unsure on some of the tuning settings and nowhere near me does it :(.

My amp has:

(High pass is already on)
subsonic filter 15hz - 150hz
grand bass 25hz - 80hz and the a separate dial 0db - 18db

Headunit has:

Bass 60hz - 180hz
Band width (Q Factor) wide to narrow
Treble 10kHz to 17.5 kHz
High pass 80, 120, 160hz

Even if you can give me basic settings to put them on to produce clear sound from the front a punchy bass from the sub.

I know its probably a lot to ask thanks

Im in a similar position but i think i set mine up right, you should have recommended settings in your amp manual, thats what i used. But basicly the sub frequency shouldnt be any higher than say 100hz then the HPF for your speakers should be 100 and over. That way you wont get much bass out of the fronts but you'll get a good dynamic bass range from the sub.

As to your dials im not sure on them but i would put the bass to 80hz then the subsonic just above 80hz which should give the effect above. Are they all the dials on your amp? As i'll need to know.

thank you for the help any idea on treble settings? there wasn't recommended setting for the amp in the manual or not that i could find anyway. they are dials which you adjust with a screwdriver yes.

its my headunit that has way too many options lol but i want to get that set up right. my headunit has high and low pass and bass forward option but i thought that if I put the high pass setting on then it wouldnt affect the sub?

With regard to high and low pass adjust the amp first with something like the settings i said untill it sounds good with the filters off on your HU then turn them on and pit them about the same as the filters on your amp. Just adjust treble etc to your preference, keep playing until it sounds how you want it. It can take days of fiddling to get it sounding right. But you should of gotten a manual or something with your amp. Also check out your HU manual for more info.

The high pass filter will only play sounds out of the speakers ABOVE the frequency to what you set it to. And the low pass filter will only play sounds BELOW what you set it to out of the sub.
