Hi Peeps I never thought I would come across a Fiat forum. All I can say is I am glad.


I am H and Im from London!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Girlfriend drives a punto 1.2 16v sporting V reg. At least now I can share my problems with you lovely peeps.


First of all I have had the car wheels balanced and also the full tracking done at Elite in Essex but the car still shakes at 40-50 mph!! it is quite agressive but once you go above 55ish it shakes less. It is the whole steering wheel and the front end!!:bang:


Also I read on here about the red/blue key issues, our one only came with the 1x blue key, so can I get another cut ? if so where please?

also where can I get the sunroof seal from as it leaks when it rains

Oh one last thing sorry when we put the headlights on there seem to be another warning light that comes on! only when we turn the lights on.

wobbly steering could be the universal joint in the steering column or trackrod ends (although id expect the garage would have noticed play in the track rod ends when he did the tracking)

sunroof exterior seal is part number 71712758 from a fiat dealership.

what warning light is it? could be a bad earth.

There is a dashboard warning light on Punto's that comes on to indicate one of the external lights has blown/circuit knackered.

Discovered this when one of my brake lights went.

It is an amber circle with an exclamation mark in the centre.

As for your key issue, there is a sticky in the punto section, were you will find all you need to know....basically you can't cut the red, but you can get a duplicate blue for about £20-£25

And are you sure its your sunroof leaking?? Cos if it does, it should just run down the channels and out through your engine bay. You maybe should check the drains are clear before doing anything else.
If it is leaking into your clock/controls, then it will be your ariel and not your sunroof
