General Alternator

Hi

Can anyone tell me where the alternator is located on my 1999 FIAT 2.8TD engine.

I have followed the wires from the starter directly to the battery but cannot see the alternator anywhere.

Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Just realised, my vehicle is a motor caravan and therefore the leads do not go from the alternator to the battery and starter but go to a split charge system.

Therefore it is no use to follow the starter leads as in a conventional vehicle.

Can anyone tell me where the alternator is located on the engine and also if I can get a wiring diagram for my split charge system?

Any help any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
