Hello, new on board.
Have recently changed vehicles having used a Citroën C15 van for many years as a site runabout. Not the best image especially as it is Ex EDF (Eléctricité de France) and well lived in but with lots of life left in it. I need something more useful, to take passengers and a few tools about.
Noëlle my wife has a Citroën Berlingo which is a fabulous car, dog, grandchildren, plants, whatever transported, it seemed natural to go down that route.
I visited a few in the area, but just wasn't given that certain "wow, that's it" message. Looking through the ads on 'Le Bon Coin' a national advertising free site widely used here in France I came across a strange sounding children's game; but it wasn't; it was a car and quite a good looking one at that, bit squarer than the 'lingo. It was just up the road at Brest so phoned for a RDV to see it.
I just fell in love with it, 3 years old, 34000KM, just about 21000miles on the clock, just run in Doblo Turbo 1.9 Emotion!. Price was right, so what does one do but arrange to pick it up three days later.
Pleased as punch:D(y)
We have recently built a garage and workshop for the Landrover and to work on our collection of old tractors and agricultural machines.
Guess who is now outside and who is in the dry and warm?
Interesting that it is built in Turkey, from first impressions they have done a good job.
Unfortunately PO for some reason or other ran with 1.3 rather than 2.3kg tyre pressure on the front so the outsides are well worn and will need changing soon.
Sort of silver colour, but not cold silver a sort of blush running through it nice. Everything works well, only small snag is the headlight stalk, if one is slow in moving from full beam to dipped one can be left in the dark! When they are on they don't half illuminate the road, especially with the fogs/drivings on as well.
One question, the rear screen wiper, should it run continually or is there a timer that is at fault?
I have lurked on the Doplo forum for a couple of weeks and find it most instructive, thank you all for your postings, I hope to join in as time goes by.
Best wishes to all and enjoy playiong with your Duplo.
