Hi my multipla feels like its misfiring under load just changed coil pack leads tps sensor plugs and the whole coil pack was changed any one no any thing else I have got a leak in exhaust would this cause it

Not since I've owned it also my spark plugs were jet black and had like a white ash around the top of it any ideas people are saying O2 sensor lamba

Gonna buy a 02 sensor any one no of one cheaper than 46 pound euro car parts

I'm looking to change lamba how or should I change the fuel filter at the same time if so how hard r they to get to on the 1.6 multipla and would a gap some where in the exhaust make it go down on power on acceleration

Any exhaust leak before the lambda will allow air to enter the system and the lambda will pick it up and adjust the mixture accordingly. A leak after the lambda isnt a issue. You issue sounds like the same issue my dads having with his. All the symptoms sound exactly the same. It doesnt miss at idle or when you rev it but does when you drive it. It stops missing if you ease off the throttle.

Don't understand how a leak in the exhaust can affect the lambda?
Exhaust is under quite strong positive pressure, try putting your hand over the exhaust even on idle!

How can air get sucked in to affect the lambda readings, exhausts always 'blow', never heard of one sucking - the only scenario that might cause this would be a serious problem at the exhaust manifold but it would need to be so massive as to be blindingly obvious (either that or Pete's mutt!).

There is deffo something wrong with the exhaust and has been from day one I see what u mean but I'm getting p!ssed off with Putting money left right and centre in to the car car was running pucka until exhaust was changed so its gotta be down to that

A leak upstream of the lambda can effect fueling because when you ease off the throttle air is sucked in through the leak and the lambda picks the extra air up and thinks the cars running lean. The lambda will report this back to the ECU and before you know it the ECU is trying to correct the fault by increasing the injector duration allowing more fuel into the cylinder. Then on acceleration it knows somethings wrong as the lambda will now be reporting a rich mixture and the cycle continues. The ecu will constantly be trying to compensate for the extra air. It can result in a crap running car. In most cases the leak would have to be extreme to cause this but ive seen it happen before. A leak after the front lambda isnt a issue. Even if it had 2 sensors it wouldnt effect the running as a rear lambda only monitors cat performance and has no bearing on the fueling.

The only part that was not changed was the manifold I don't understand how u can accerlarate to a certain point before power dips and if ur on the throttle hard how can it breath in excuse my idiot mind but its not adding up it don't tick over propley now either so something is really wrong

Pete,
where is the leak? When you block the exhaust, can you hear any blowing at all?

You may be right about the car running fine till the exhaust was changed but this could be the lambda sensor failing or the exhaust not being installed properly so that it leaks.
If the exhaust doesn't leak, then lambda sensor is favourite.

Want to narrow down the possibilities to try to eliminate spending money unnecessarily.

I agree. Find the blow. If its after the lambda and towards the rear of the car then its not going to cause running issues. Just sounds louder.

Ive heard that you can clean them up by soaking them in petrol over night (just the tip) and heating them up with blowlamp. Ive tried it on a old lambda and it didnt do any harm. The sensor worked perfect afterwards

3 people have looked at it and can't find the blow what ever it is opens up under load I'm at a loss prob just gonna buy a scrap multipla off eBay and make a good one up
