Hi, I've posted a similar post but to help me understand better, could anybody with a 1.2 petrol Fiat 500 tell me:

a. Their average MPG
b. Their average speed
c. How many miles you'd normally get between filling up

all during winter please.

Thank you in advance.

If you're really worried, get the car checked over. Could be something like a sticking brake caliper(s), handbrake out of adjustment, bad tracking, low pressures, cheap tyres etc etc.

Thank you.

Sorry I'm a worrier. Is there a specific check garages do to check fuel consumption? My pressures fine and they're definitely not cheap tyres. Tracking feels ok but will definitely get this checked. Thank you again. Sorry I'm so dopey.

I can't remember how many liters my 1.2 takes but filled the tank two days ago and that Range meter on the dash started by saying i had 500km in it, 2 days later just doing 20 km a day to work it's saying i have 524kms left, boring drive but just by changing gears when it suggests makes for apparent good economy, unlike my normal style of first off the lights and hard into the round abouts haha! Such a fun car! :)

My wife's does around 280 miles to 1/4 of a tank which costs about £30 to refill. That's mostly town driving. On a run we got nearly 400 miles for the same amount.

That can't be right...... 280miles to quarter of a tank.??
That's about 180 miles per gallon.

Will have to look but summer 300-330 full to light on, winter 250-280, the same, all urban cycle mostly

Thank you. I got 250 miles from a full tank before my fuel light came on. so that sounds about similar? Winter driving obviously.

The next poster understood, 280 miles to a quarter of a tank left, so just over 90miles for every quarter on the gauge, but the cost is most accurate as garages can be all over the place.

That sounds a bit worse, we haven't had the fuel light on yet (I tend to refill when it gets to a quarter of a tank left) but get the 280 to a quarter so would expect another 50-100 before the fuel light comes on (assuming it comes on a bit after it goes down to the last segment).

Oh this worries me I'm in Scotland and it's cold, not sure how much difference that makes to where you are

It's probably down to the roads as well. Tamworth is very flat and my wife does mostly town runs. Out of a tank 200 miles is town driving and 80 duel carriageway at approx 60mph I would say. On the motorway at a steady 70 it was good for 400 miles.

I think that works out to just over 48 mpg...

35 Lts in a full tank, so if you fill up with the fuel tank at 1/4 full that's 26.25 Lts used over 280 miles, which should be about 48.3 mpg..

Average consumption A (does this reset when I reset trip A?) 41 mpg, average speed A 15mph, average consumption B (never reset) 41 speed 16 travelled 115 miles on the first quarter so far .

Thank you. I've just driven to work and checked mine (never been reset since I got the car in April mind you). Mine are

Trip Dis A 247.1
Average Consumption 40.1mpg
Average Speed A 21mph
Traveltime A 11.28

I've used a full quarter, and half a quarter, (on picture) and have driven 135 miles since I last filled up...

Car is claiming around 45mpg so there or thereabouts. On the motorway it claims around 62-67mpg and goes over 70 if we sit at 65mph. But I never trust the computer, much better to go on what it actually uses.

That is very similar to ours if you multiply up. You would get 270 miles for three quarters used on the gauge.
