Just out of curiosity what sort of work do you think would be involved in putting the alfa brera 2.4 210bhp engine in a derv gp? also with a remap imagine a gp with that power :O

by the way this is out of curiosity so no replys sayin just buy a alfa! im not looking to do this just having a pie in the sky dream

Not only that it's a 5cyl engine meaning it's a fair bit wider than the 1.9. Would need a HUUUUUUUGGGE shoehorn. By that time there won't be much left of the front of the GP.

It is "possible" but judging by your question (no offence) you're not the person to take on such a huge job....

Fair point

Not the first choice of engine transplants that come to mind. Esp when your sending 300lb of torque to front wheels with not even a diff

The 5 cylinder JTDM is a big engine, and the 1.9JTD already fills up the GP's engine bay to the max! Maybe the 1750TBi from the Alfa Giulietta would be a better option? Even stock it would have great power in a GP!

Yeah be a big job but would definitely give a smile lol

Definitley would need an lsd maybe even a custom built box with decent internals and a monster of a clutch. I think it would be more money than its worth. Be quite funny though leaving behind a wrx scooby on a straight road. XD
