in my quest for deep and meaningful bass i had to replace the infinity sub and alpine amp, they just weren't good enough.

so i bought a JBL CS1204B 12" sub (250wRMS) in a sexy JBL box with protector bars and JBL logo on top. it makes the boot look very posh :D. its powered by a JBL GTO4000 amp. it feels so good to have JBL in my boot again, and the bass is soooo much better. tbh i was shocked just how good this is. in my bravo i had the 400wRMS version (p1220e) powered by the GTO6000 amp (same output on the bridged chanel) but this seems just as loud.

There is no way on God's earth that will ever be as loud as a P1220.

You were seriously under powering it with a GTO amp. To run a 1220, you should have used a class D amp. My mate has got 2 1220's, and they run off a single class D. He hits 142 db. That set up is for sale as well, as he's putting 2 JL 13w7's in.

on the one hand i agree the p1220 should be run from a better amp, but in reality if it was any bassier my bravo would have fallen apart so there really wasnt any need for a better amp, and i liked having the 6ch amp because it meant i only needed 1 amp to run absolutely everything. but i agree the p1220 has a lot more potential than my current sub.

a monoblock class D amp is great if you want to enter competitions and scare nature, but its not really needed for everyday use.

not long ago i thought it was criminal to run your speakers from a headunit, but now i'm doing that, and to be honest i'm happy with it. never thought id ever say that. i must be getting old.

'Fully Integrated Robotised Engine'
you mean the 2.5 V6 ;) i wanted one but the petrol is beyond a joke.

the zender kit makes the car look longer than it really is, no?
yeah longer and wider, its even more noticable if you see it parked next to a standard one.

wheels look a bit lost in arches though and not a fan of spoiler
