Aldi SD Satellite Kit,

anyone got or used one, what are they like, can you get all freeview on them?

getting fed up with hardly any freeview channels in living room and SD Satellite Kit in aldi next week is cheaper than a new tv Aerial:idea:

I would assume it's Freesat which you get all Freeview channels plus a load more.

or get daryl to screw it on the wall? ive got no houses in front of mine or the back for miles

I found I got less on Freesat unless that's changed recently. I couldn't even get "Dave" for my Top Gear fix...

I gave up and bought Sky in the end .

Ah right, I'm looking into getting it at home because my freeview recorder is on the blink.

Freeview channels depend a lot on the strength of the signal from the aerial/dish. The stronger the signal the more channels you get.
dave if you decide to install the dish yourself let me know I have a signal strength meter you can use, PM me your address and I'll post it to you.

aldi are selling a tv where you can record to usb stick, not sure if its multi tuner though.
