Sorry to ask a question which has prob been asked before, tried searching but couldn't find it.

My remote works most of the time on my alarm/locking, recently i have had to try it a few times before it works.

got into car today after about 7 attempts, to find the led on the dash flashing 5 times.

does this mean the battery in the remote?
i only changed them 4 months ago?

cheers

Could be the batteries but very much doubt it if you only changed them 4 months ago.

Could be the connections where the batteries go on the circuit board. After time they go dirty with muck and sh*t. Just a case scraping it off.

It could also be the button it self. Well when I say button, I mean the blue bit that presses the button. Some times it doesn't sit right if the case has been open i.e replacing the batteries.

Cheers dude, will have a look.
Is there a time limit for the battries to be disconnected before it looses the memory?
I ask because its the only remote i have & i dont have the codes (german import!)
Also someone has taken out the alarm key bit (under the dash).

Cheers

They have not taken it out mate. Not all Bravo's have them. Mine doesn't.

As for losing memory, they won't lose anything. They are just a simple transmitter that send a signal over a certain frequency.

It is the reciever in the car that learns to the key.
